Leaky Black signs two-way contract with Hornets

A beloved Tar Heel has solidified an NBA home despite going undrafted in June.
Leaky Black signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets, the team announced Wednesday. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Black, a native of Concord, North Carolina, appeared in three summer league games for the Hornets. He averaged 2.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game.
Black's best game came in a 89-83 loss to the Pelicans Thursday in which he recorded eight points, eight rebounds and shot 75 percent from the floor. He also made two threes in that game.
At UNC, Black appeared in a school-record 155 games (130 starts) in five seasons from 2018-23. He was known for being an elite and versatile defender, averaging 5.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals in his collegiate career.
