With the offseason in full swing, another domino on North Carolina's 2023-2024 schedule has fallen.

On Friday, CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein announced that North Carolina will square off against reigning National Champion UConn in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.

While a date has not been set, the event typically takes place in December prior to the start of conference play.

North Carolina is 5-1 all-time against UConn, winning the last matchup, 77-70, in Storrs in 2005.

As the Tar Heels battle the Huskies, it is one of a handful of challenging non-conference games in 2023.

Earlier this week, it was announced that North Carolina would continue their participating in the CBS Sports Classic. On December 16, they will face-off against UCLA at the Phillips Center in Atlanta.

The Tar Heels will look to rack up quality wins in the non-conference slate as they attempt to rebound from a disappointing 2022-2023 campaign.

Starters Armando Bacot and R.J. Davis return to Chapel Hill, while Hubert Davis and company have orchestrated what now sits as a four man transfer class.

How will the Tar Heels fare in their tough non-conference slate in 2023?
