In Friday night's 105-60 home win over Charleston Southern, between second-year UNC basketball players Jalen Washington and Seth Trimble, the ninth-ranked Tar Heels (9-3, 1-0 ACC) received 29 points, the most from the pair in any game. Each shot better than 50 percent from the field.

And they totaled 13 rebounds and zero turnovers across their combined 36 minutes on the floor.

Here's what Seth Trimble, a 6-foot-3 bouncy guard who averaged only 1.8 points as a freshman but is now one of the first off the bench alongside Washington, said afterward about their potential to shine as Tar Heels:

"It just shows we can do it. You know we do it in practice, we do it in games. We continue to work in our roles and positions and keep our heads down everyday. It shows that we can do it."

Jalen Washington, a 6-foot-10 big man whose freshman averages weren't much higher than Trimble's, added this:

"Any time that Coach [Hubert] Davis asks us to go out there, and we do what we are told, and look good doing it, it gives us a lot of confidence.

"I'm sure it gives him a lot of confidence to keep trusting us too. We just got to keep building on that and make sure we're doing things that our team needs to bring energy off the bench, hustle plays, taking care of the ball, and everything we need to do to help the team win."
