Ridge View High School (S.C.) guard Korie Corbett, an admitted UNC basketball enthusiast, boasts offers from only two schools: Bethune-Cookman and South Carolina State.

But despite the absence of high-major suitors and the fact the 2026 prep has neither a rating nor ranking by his name, Corbett's skills recently drew high praise from 247Sports' Travis Branham at the Chick-fil-A Classic, where the 6-foot-4, 170-pound sophomore and his Ridge View squad prevailed in the championship bout:

"While competing in the Chick-fil-A Classic, one of the top national tournaments during the high school season, Corbett shined on both ends of the court and showed to be a prospect to keep a very close eye on in the months ahead...

"Corbett is a very fluid and dynamic athlete that glides around the floor. He's smooth with the ball, able to beat guys off the dribble...On the other end of the floor, Corbett is an impressive defender with great lateral quickness, feet and hands to be a very impactful perimeter defender.

"The things he does already will soon catch the interest of high-major programs..."

As for which program Korie Corbett would most like to see enter his recruitment, he made no secret about his appreciation for all things Tar Heels.

"I want to go to UNC," he explained to Branham. "I just like everything about UNC."

Simple as that.

No doubt the tracking of his development seems worth UNC's time.
