UNC Basketball: Top Five Plays From UC Riverside Game
UNC basketball's 77-52 home victory over UC Riverside on Friday night improved the No. 20 Tar Heels to 3-0. The game featured countless highlights from a few dominant stretches by Hubert Davis' squad: a 28-5 run before the break and a 19-0 run out of the gates in the second half.
So, the UNC basketball social media team had its hands full in narrowing them down to the Tar Heels' top five plays.
However, it'd be tough to argue against the top highlight: the high-flying, electrifying fastbreak dunk by sophomore guard Seth Trimble, who finished with a season-high 11 points (which also tied his career-high) against the Highlanders.
After all, Trimble's ridiculous flight and posterizing finish landed him No. 5 on SportsCenter's Top 10 that night.
Here are the top five Tar Heel moments that the program posted on Saturday, including a nifty one-handed layup by rookie guard Elliot Cadeau, a pair of smooth 3-pointers off the catch by sophomore forward Jalen Washington, a putback slam by freshman forward Zayden High, and a steal and breakaway slam by fifth-year center Armando Bacot:
The Tar Heels have a few days off before facing Northern Iowa at the Imperial Arena on Wednesday at noon ET in Paradise Island, Bahamas, as part of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
Then, UNC will play either Villanova or Texas Tech the following day before wrapping up the trip with a third Battle 4 Atlantis contest on Friday.
