Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) forward Caleb Wilson scheduled a trip to Chapel Hill last weekend. But the 6-foot-10, 205-pound five-star, fifth overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, postponed the UNC basketball visit, according to his dad's chat with Adam Zagoria, "to rest and recharge" before the start of his junior season.

There's no doubt that recharge worked as planned, as Wilson recorded a monster double-double in Saturday night's 64-61 home win over Tucker (Ga.).

Earlier in the week, he flirted with a quadruple-double, tallying 19 points, 12 boards, eight assists, and seven blocks in his squad's 63-60 season-opening road victory against St. Pius X Catholic (Ga.).

Wilson, who has yet to announce a new date for a visit to check out the Tar Heels, finished Saturday night's contest with 27 points, 20 rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and one steal. Note that the powerful, versatile talent compiled those Armando Bacot-ish stats in a 32-minute game:

As things stand, Caleb Wilson is among nine players in his class holding an offer from UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his staff.

The Tar Heels have yet to land a commitment from any of the targets: Wilson, five-star forward Cameron Boozer, five-star forward Koa Peat, five-star forward Bryson Tiller, five-star forward AJ Dybantsa, five-star forward Isiah Harwell, five-star guard Cayden Boozer, five-star guard Jasper Johnson, and five-star guard Darryn Peterson.

All nine recruits boast top-20 composite rankings.
