Hefty UNC Basketball Recruiting Prospect Shatters Glass During Game
Kendre' Harrison doesn't hold a UNC basketball recruiting offer yet. But the 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward, No. 22 overall on the 2026 ESPN 25, has drawn interest from the staff. And he checked out the Tar Heels on an unofficial visit in late January, coinciding with the squad's 85-64 victory over Wake Forest in the Smith Center.
Plus, the Reidsville High School (N.C.) two-sport standout is on the UNC football wishlist. He's the No. 1 tight end among the nation's sophomores and visited the gridiron Tar Heels in the fall.
Whether as a basketball or football prospect, there's no denying Harrison's powerful physique and top-shelf athleticism. After all, he went viral on Tuesday night after exploding to the rim and bringing it down while shattering the backboard:

The dunk ended the game with just under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, and Reidsville got credit for the win.
Through his team's 21-0 campaign thus far, Kendre' Harrison is averaging 18.6 points, 15.1 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks. According to MaxPreps' Jordan Divens, he's putting up those lofty stats in only 20.6 minutes per contest, as he often exits games early due to Reidsville's lopsided scoring margins.
Thus far, third-year UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his crew have yet to officially target any 2026 prospects. It wouldn't be a surprise if Harrison soon becomes one of the first.
