UNC Basketball: RJ Davis 'Lost for Words' After Making Program History
Senior guard RJ Davis, now enjoying an eight-game streak with 20 points or more, stands as the only UNC basketball player in history to record at least 20 points, 10 assists, five steals, and zero turnovers in a game.

That was Davis' eye-popping stat line from his spectacular performance for the ninth-ranked Tar Heels (9-3, 1-0 ACC) in Friday night's 105-60 home win over Charleston Southern. He's arguably the frontrunner for ACC Player of the Year, now averaging 21.6 points, 3.4 boards, and 3.6 dimes for the conference's highest-ranked squad.
Following his UNC basketball history-making production, RJ Davis, the reigning ACC Player of the Week, noted his sincere appreciation for the significance of the Tar Heel distinction he earned:
"It means a lot. I'm lost for words a little bit. I know there's a lot of players that have come through this program, a lot of big-time players. And for me being the first to ever do it, this is truly a blessing.
"I'm honored, and I'm grateful. I never [thought], 'Going into this game, I'm going to set this record.'
"I just lean off of what I've been practicing and practicing. I'm a firm believer in the way you practice is the way you play, and I had a great three practices leading up to today's game."
