In May, the UNC basketball staff extended an offer to Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) junior Caleb Wilson. The Tar Heels have looked like a top contender ever since. They even visited the 6-foot-10, 200-pound five-star in back-to-back weeks earlier this month.

And now, according to national recruiting insider Adam Zagoria, UNC is one of three programs slated to host him for an official visit this fall.

Wilson, a versatile, explosive talent down low and on the perimeter who ranks No. 4 overall and No. 3 among power forwards on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, will be in Chapel Hill the weekend of Nov. 11. Presumably, he'll be in the Dean E. Smith Center when the Tar Heels host Lehigh on Nov. 12 in the second game of the season.

First, though, he'll check out Tennessee this weekend before heading to Kentucky the weekend of Oct. 14. Plus, it's worth noting that he took his first official visit a few weeks ago to Alabama.

No 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions exist for Caleb Wilson's recruitment, which makes sense given he's neither named finalists nor expressed any rush in deciding on a college destination.

But he's noted on several occasions that UNC basketball appeals to him. That and the scheduled official visit suggest third-year head coach Hubert Davis and his cohorts will likely remain in the mix for his services until the end of the race, whenever that time should come.
