The 2024 target would add to their No. 1 class or fill one of the three remaining roster spots for the 2023-2024 season.

North Carolina currently has three open scholarships remaining for the 2023-2024 campaign. It remains to be seen how or if all three will be used, but there is a chance one could be taken by a local recruit.

Jarin Stevenson, a four-star recruit in the class of 2024, could fill one roster spot in Chapel Hill either this fall or in 2024.

According to multiple reports on Twitter, Stevenson has named North Carolina among his final three along with Alabama and Virginia.

Stevenson attends Seaforth High School in Pittsboro, where he is coached by his parents, including his mother, Nicole, who was a three-time ACC champion as a member of the UNC women's basketball program.

He is the No. 22 ranked recruit in the class of 2024 and No. 4 ranked power forward.

Stevenson is expected to announce his decision in the coming days, but it is yet to be determined if he will remain in the class of 2024 or reclassify and join a program ahead of the fall.

As of now, he does not have any Crystal Ball predictions so it appears that while many believe he will end up in Chapel Hill, Alabama and Virginia are certainly strong contenders for his services.
