As spring practice continues for the UNC football program, the Tar Heels received good news on Thursday in the form of a commitment.

2024 edge rusher Daniel Anderson took to social media to announce his decision to commit to North Carolina.

"I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity," Anderson said. "I want to thank my parents and friends for pushing me. I want to thank Coach Gene for all that he's done. I want to say thank you to Coach Brown and Coach Chizik for reaching out. Thank you to all the coaches who have recruited me. Thank you to everyone. It took a village to get me this far and it will take that same supporting cast to push me to success on the next level. With that being said, I'm excited to say I'm a future Tar Heel."

The Memphis native became the sixth commitment for Mack Brown and company in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Anderson was recently offered a scholarship from UNC and visited Chapel Hill just last week.

According to Inside Carolina, he was also considering the likes of Duke, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, and Memphis.

Anderson attends Germantown High and recorded 46 total tackles and eight sacks this past season.

How will North Carolina follow up on the recruiting trail after earning the services of Anderson?
