Charlie Heck: "We can move the ball, we’ve got playmakers, but we’ve got to execute"

Heck optimistic about offense, but Heels still learning to finish

Carolina left tackle Charlie Heck has seen the Tar Heel offense at its high-tempo best and mistake-prone worst during his time in Chapel Hill.

After the team's first scrimmage of training camp on Saturday, he shared his takeaways on what his unit was able to accomplish, how they can improve and the toughest thing about taking on a new 3-4 scheme.

"We can move the ball, we’ve got playmakers but we’ve got to execute when it matters and we can’t get ourselves in a situation where we hurt ourselves and back up," he said. "When we’ve got them on their heels, that’s where we’ve got to finish the game."
