Ziglar chose the Tar Heels over the likes of South Carolina, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Penn State.

As the No. 5 player in the state, Ziglar attends Fuquay-Varina, where he helped lead the Bengals to a 6-1 conference record.

The 6-foot-2 safety was a star on both sides of the ball for Fuquay-Varina, guiding the defense with four interceptions and amassing 261 all-purpose yards of offense.

Ziglar becomes the highest-rated pledge for North Carolina in the rising senior class and the fifth four-star for the UNC football staff. He is currently ranked as the No. 192-best player in his class and the No. 17 safety, according to 247 Sports.

With the commitment, it solidifies Mack Brown and Gene Chizik's emphasis on fortifying the secondary. They now possess five defensive backs in 2024, giving optimism for a much-improved secondary in the  years to come.

The Tar Heels currently hold the No. 20th rated recruiting class in the country and sit fourth in the ACC.

Although North Carolina seems to be winding down their recruiting for 2024, will they continue their hot stretch with the class of 2025?
