In-state wideout commits to North Carolina
It's been a great month for North Carolina on the recruiting trail, as the Tar Heels picked up their eighth 2024 commitment in June in the form of three-star receiver Keenan Jackson.
Jackson picked North Carolina over the likes of NC State, Duke, Virginia Tech, and Maryland.
Out of Matthews, Jackson is rated No. 813 in the country and No. 29 in the state of North Carolina. He is ranked as the 104th best wideout in the 2024 class.
In nine games with Cuthbertson High School in 2022, Jackson was the No. 1 receiver, hauling in a team-high 50 receptions for 582 yards and seven touchdowns.
The rising senior transferred to Weddington High School in the spring, choosing to spend his final season with the Warriors, who came two wins away from a state title in 2022.
Jackson becomes the 21st commitment for the Tar Heels in the 2024 class, helping them sit at No. 16 overall and second in the ACC.
He is the lone receiver pledge in the rising senior class and is the fourth commit from the state of North Carolina.
