Longtime UNC Football Pledge Adds Another Star to Rating
When Creekview (Ga.) offensive tackle Andrew Rosinski committed to the UNC football staff in late January, he was an all-state performer in the highest classification but only a three-star talent in the eyes of many recruiting services.
Fast forward to Sunday. The 6-foot-6, 282-pound senior saw a fourth star next to his name on the 247Sports 2024 Composite.
"Hard work being recognized, but the work doesn't stop," Rosinski, a former lacrosse player, wrote in the above post announcing his four-star rating.
He boasts composite rankings of No. 441 overall, No. 35 at his position, and No. 53 in Georgia. However, it's worth noting that 247Sports has him at No. 190 overall and No. 3 among 2024 UNC football commits.
Either way, Andrew Rosinski, one of the earlier prizes in what is now a 26-deep Tar Heel recruiting haul that ranks No. 27 in the country, becomes the eighth four-star in the class on tap to play for UNC next season.
These are the other seven (in order of their composite rankings), all hailing from North Carolina, Georgia, or Florida:
- Fuquay-Varina (N.C.) safety Malcolm Ziglar (No. 211 overall)
- Buford (Ga.) safety Tyshun White (No. 323)
- Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Fla.) running back Davion Gause (No. 340)
- Gainesville (Ga.) cornerback Zion Ferguson (No. 370)
- Grimsley (N.C.) wide receiver Alex Taylor (No. 405)
- Mill Creek (Ga.) athlete Jaiden Patterson (No. 429)
- Providence Day (N.C.) wide receiver Jordan Shipp (No. 433)
The collection doesn't contain a five-star β not yet, anyway, as several of the program's four-star pledges could play their way into that top rating by season's end.
