The start of fall camp is about getting a feel and finding out who looks good in shorts, and to that end, the Tar Heels passed with flying colors.

"The first two days, you’re trying to see who’s in condition, you’re trying to look at your new guys and see what they look like because you haven’t been out there on a practice field with them, and all of that looked good," Carolina coach Mack Brown said.

The most pressing issue for Brown as he begins his first Tar Heel camp in more than 20 years is finding a starting quarterback. On that front, Brown didn't have much of an update, reiterating that Cade Fortin, Jace Ruder and freshman Sam Howell will all get equal reps.
