As it stands, North Carolina currently holds the No. 12 ranked recruiting class for 2024 with 12 total commits.

With spring ball in the rearview, Mack Brown and company are targeting fellow members of the junior class, hosting visits and extending scholarships.

On Wednesday, the Tar Heels offered four-star tight end Ethan Barbour out of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Barbour is rated as the No. 5 tight end for 2024 and the No. 143rd overall recruit. He currently holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, and Texas, as well as a dozen other Power Five programs.

As a junior, Barbour led the Alpharetta High School football program with 51 receptions, totaling 714 yards and a team-high 12 touchdowns.

The 6-foot-3 pass catcher would be the second tight end commit for North Carolina should he choose the Tar Heels, joining three star Ryan Ward out of Rutherfordton, NJ.

With North Carolina just entering their hat into the ring, it is too early to tell if there is a possibility of Barbour heading to Chapel Hill.

Regardless, the Tar Heels stand to finish with another top-20 class under Mack Brown. How will they round out their 2024 class?
