With the spring game and the next transfer portal window being open, all eyes have been on the current state of the North Carolina roster.

However, Mack Brown and company are also focusing on the future, as the Tar Heels received a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Peter Pesansky on Monday.

Pesansky took to social media to announce his decision, just over a month after he took a visit to Chapel Hill.

The 6-foot-3, 265 lb. lineman chose North Carolina over the likes of Oklahoma, Minnesota, Virginia, and NC State.

Pesansky is ranked as the No. 54 defensive lineman in the class of 2024 and the No. 557th overall recruit.

He is a native of Tampa, Florida and plays for Jesuit High School, where he has starred over the past two seasons. As a junior, Pesansky tallied 99 total tackles, including 17 sacks and 10 tackles-for loss.

With his commitment, North Carolina now has 12 pledges in the junior class that is ranked No. 15 in the country and third in the ACC.

Pesansky joins three-star edge Daniel Anderson along the defensive line and is the fourth defensive commit for the Tar Heels.

Will Mack Brown and the UNC football staff continue their success on the recruiting trail headed into the month of May?
