UNC football's first ACC game of the 2023 season is also its first game on an opponent's home turf this go-round. The Tar Heels travel to face the Pitt Panthers on Saturday, Sept. 23, in Acrisure Stadium.

On Monday, the program revealed the start time and network: 8 p.m. ET (ACCN).

Pitt (1-1, 0-0 ACC), currently unranked and hoping to bounce back from a 27-21 home loss to Cincinnati following the Panthers' season-opening 45-7 victory over Wofford in Pittsburgh, first plays at West Virginia this Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the No. 20 Tar Heels, trying to capitalize on their double-overtime escape in Chapel Hill against Appalachian State and begin a season 3-0 for the second year in a row and the third time in the past four seasons, host the Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-0, 1-0 Big Ten) at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday (ESPN) in Kenan Memorial Stadium.

Minnesota is knocking on the door of the AP Top 25 (ninth among "others receiving votes") following home wins over Nebraska in Week 1 and Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

The UNC football season opener, a 31-17 statement victory over South Carolina, showed what the squad can do against Power Five opponents.

On that note, the Tar Heels may require that same level of performance to defeat the energized Golden Gophers before entering ACC play, which accounts for the rest of their regular-season slate outside of the home game against Campbell on Nov. 4.
