Providence Day School (N.C.) five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. will be in a jam-packed Kenan Memorial Stadium on Saturday night when the UNC football team hosts the Miami Hurricanes, 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong reported on Wednesday.

Kickoff between No. 12 UNC (5-0, 2-0 ACC) and No. 25 Miami (4-1, 0-1 ACC) is at 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC).

Sanders, who attended Georgia's win over Kentucky last weekend and boasts loads of big-name offers, ranks No. 1 overall in the 2025 class, per 247Sports. And the 6-foot-6, 270-pound pancake specialist is on the Tar Heels' official wishlist, not to mention he also holds an offer from Miami.

Rivals' Adam Gorney, who has him at No. 2 overall in that site's 2025 ranking below Savannah Cristian School (Ga.) five-star defensive end Elijah Griffin, recently broke down Sanders' upside and high-profile recruitment:

"David Sanders could contend for the top-ranked player in the 2025 class throughout that rankings cycle because he continues to get more dominant every time we see him. Gone are the days of a giant offensive lineman who was sort of timid and shied away from mixing it up...Sanders has first-round draft pick written all over him as Georgia, Alabama, and all the schools in the Carolinas, among others, battle for him."

According to 247Sports, David Sanders Jr. took an unofficial UNC football visit in June 2022.

Thus far, the Tar Heels have received verbal commitments from three 2025 recruits, none with higher than a three-star rating.
