Germantown (Tenn.) edge rusher Daniel Anderson, an early enrollee with the Tar Heels, announced his UNC football commit nine months ago and signed his national letter of intent on Wednesday, the first day of the 2024 early signing period.

Anderson, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound three-star, ranks No. 948 overall and No. 30 among Tennessee prospects on the 247Sports 2024 Composite.

The Tar Heels welcomed him to the club after receiving his signed national letter of intent, posting the following set of personalized videos:

Here is 247Sports' most recent evaluation of Anderson's game:

"Anderson is a high-motor, twitchy pass-rush specialist who doesn’t need to come off the edge to wreak havoc in the backfield. He lacks an ideal frame at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds but will use that as an advantage: one of his methods of attack is to make himself small to slide into gaps. But, he mostly succeeds with his explosiveness and agility."

Daniel Anderson is part of the UNC football program's largest class in 15 years. All 27 commits have signed their national letter of intent.

The haul ranks No. 26 overall and No. 4 in the ACC, per 247Sports.
