Three-star cornerback Tyrane Stewart, who signed his national letter of intent with the Tar Heels this past week, was the last addition to the 2024 UNC football recruiting collection. The East Mississippi Community College standout visited UNC and rival NC State earlier this month and committed to to the Tar Heels after returning home.

According to the 247Sports 2024 Composite JUCO, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Stewart ranks No. 61 overall among junior college prospects, No. 5 at his position, and No. 20 in Mississippi.

UNC football announced his signing with the following post, including a hype video and mixtape of his best highlights:

Here is 247Sports' scouting report on Stewart:

"Stewart is a plug-and-play, press cornerback who uses his length to track, jam, and pass off receivers across zones. In man coverage, the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder stays in the receiver's hip pocket while legally maintaining contact. He's a competitive tackler who wraps and uses his momentum to bring the ball carrier to the ground."

Tyrane Stewart, the only junior college pickup for the Tar Heels, is one of 27 in UNC's 2024 recruiting class, head coach Mack Brown's largest collection since his return to Chapel Hill in 2019.
