McDonogh School (Md.) edge rusher Kamden Laudenslager, who ranks No. 36 at his position, No. 19 in his state, and No. 494 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, is now a future UNC football player. The Tar Heels prevailed in his recruitment against fellow finalists Wisconsin and Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound three-star made it quite evident that he's locked in on his choice via the following message in his decision-reveal post on Tuesday night:

On Saturday night, Laudenslager attended the UNC football team's dramatic double-overtime victory over the Appalachian State Mountaineers in Kenan Memorial Stadium. He watched the now-No. 20 Tar Heels (2-0, 0-0 ACC) handle business on defense — at least when it mattered most as the Mountaineers' final possession expired.

That was his second visit to Chapel Hill. His first was earlier this year, leading to his offer from the Tar Heels. Now, the second trip has led to his commitment.

Kamden Laudenslager is the second 2025 UNC football pledge. East Forsyth (N.C.) four-star quarterback Bryce Baker became the first with his announcement in late June.
