Ritchey is the No. 363 ranked player in his class and No. 9 in North Carolina, competing for Northwood High School in Pittsboro.

In 2022, he recorded 495 receiving yards and found the endzone six times. On defense, he amassed 61 total tackles, 21.1 tackles-for-loss, and 10 sacks, according to Inside Carolina.

The now Tar Heel pledge sat down with IC and provided some insight into his commitment to Mack Brown and the UNC football staff.

"UNC was just different. I think it is a place where I'll be most successful," said Ritchey. "Not only in the football field, but even if the dreams of being in the NFL don't work out. I know for a fact that I'll have a successful business or be a successful coach."

Ritchey joins three-star quarterback Bryce Baker as the second commitment for North Carolina in the class of 2025, which is now ranked No. 13 in the country and third in the ACC.

The Tar Heels have found themselves with a successful summer on the recruiting trail, creating a bright outlook on the future.

Will North Carolina build another elite class for 2025?
