UNC star guard Deja Kelly put her facilitating skills on display in front of an international audience on Wednesday.

Kelly recorded a team-high seven assists and led the team with a +45 plus/minus in Team USA's 106-44 win over Cuba in the FIBA Women's AmeriCup.

She also poured in 10 points on 57 percent shooting from the floor.

Kelly came off the bench for the second game in a row. In Team USA's 67-54 loss to Brazil on Tuesday, Kelly, like many of her teammates, struggled, scoring only two points and failing to make a field goal.

She bounced back the next day, creating shots for her teammates and leading the offense while it built an insurmountable lead over Cuba. Most of her production came in the first half in which she had eight points and five assists.

Kelly will be back on the floor with Team USA for the start of the finals on Friday. Its opponent for the first round will be decided after all of Wednesday's games are finished.

The FIBA Women's AmeriCup is taking place in Leon, Mexico with the champion being named on July 9.

The U.S. has won four gold medals since the event began in 1993, most recently winning in 2021. Other countries competing this year include Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
