Three Best Bets To Make On Remaining PAC-12 School In March Madness
The Arizona Wildcats are the last remaining men's basketball team out of the PAC-12 conference in what will soon wrap up a disappointing season for the Power-5 grouping.
They will take on the Clemson Tigers in the Sweet 16 at 4:09 p.m. PT at Crypto.com Arena, which should be a fun battle against one of the many ACC opponents who came to play in March. Just because USC is not involved in the action does not mean you have to bow out of the viewing experience. If you plan on watching, it’s worth putting a little skin in the game as well.
Here are three bets to place ahead of Thursday’s festivities – all odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook:
Spread: Arizona -7.5 (-108)
The Wildcats are rolling early following a 20-point win over the No. 15-seeded Long Beach State Dirtbags and a 10-point victory over the No. 7-seeded Dayton Flyers.
Clemson will be a formidable opponent but Arizona remains the heavy favorite. March Madness is a time when Cinderella stories are prevalent and anything can happen but the top dogs have played well this tournament and it should be more of the same on Thursday.
Arizona Team Total Points: Over 79.5 (-110)
The Wildcats are expected to come away with this one and move on to the Elite Eight. If you’re already locking onto the spread, it makes sense to double up with the Over. It would be quite difficult for Arizona to confidently take down the Tigers by more than eight points without approaching that 80-point threshold.
NCAAB Championship Winner: Arizona (+900)
At this point in the tournament, any top seed has a realistic chance to win it all. This bet is more about value than anything – as a $100 bet would return $900. The Wildcats would have to win four more games and face some daunting competition but they currently have the fourth-best odds of the 16 remaining contenders.
For those less likely to go all-in on Caleb Love and company, you can play it safer with a bet on the Wildcats to win the West Region at +120.
While watching the festivities, we recommend checking out The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, where you can bet on the games and watch from a slew of bars, lounges and restaurants. We checked out their limited-time-only March Madness event called “Brackets at The Stadium,” which had everything a fan could want from drinks, food, pool tables, indoor and outdoor seating options – and of course, a litter of screens to enjoy the best amateur basketball tournament in the world.
The Sportsbook at The Venetian Resort is the Yahoo Sportsbook powered by William Hill
– which is a year-round offering and is the go-to spot for sports fans unless an aforementioned event is in the works.
The resort also features an all-suite experience and has a mindblowing property that includes a mall-sized shopping area, food options at every corner – from celebrated chefs including Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller to CrazyShakes and burgers at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer – and multiple luxurious pool areas that surround the property.
It was the perfect venue to watch the first two rounds of the tournament and will continue to be a top destination for any sports fan looking to have a blast while enjoying any event from March Madness, the Super Bowl or just a regular season tip-off.
