Former USC Baseball Voluntary Assistant Coach Lands Big-Time Promotion Ahead of New Season
Your USC Trojans will be looking to have a huge baseball season this year and they wasted no time making mandatory upgrades and promotions to ensure that nothing or nobody will stand in the way of that. Their baseball program has always been respected and it's been in large part due to the culture in which the coaching staff has helped build.
And USC made a huge move recently as they promoted assistant coach Andy Jenkins from a volunteer to an official part of their coaching staff. The move was announced by USC's athletic department and they made it clear that they value what he brings to the table immensely!
Head coach Andy Stankiewicz spoke a bit on the move.
"Big thanks to USC Athletics, as it shows it commitment to our baseball program to bring on as a full-time assistant coach," Stankiewicz said. "Coach Jenkins has built a strong reputation in player development, and the relationship skills he has developed in recruiting make this promotion really well deserved. Fight On!"

Jenkins has previous experience coaching other top universities such as Oregon State, Washington and Cal State Fullerton. However, once he was given the opportunity to join staff and be able to help mentor the trojans, he could not pass it up even if it was a volunteer role at first.
He made the most of what was given to him and he ended up where he wanted to be. We are more than happy for Jenkins and cannot wait to see what the squad accomplishes this year.
