Although your USC Trojans women's basketball team may have fallen short of its ultimate goal of March Madness glory last spring on the court, their achievements beyond 94 feet are worth celebrating, too.

Per USC's official Twitter account, the team thrived on the academic front, earning a 3.25 GPA that got them a shoutout from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

Sporting a decent 21-10 record (11-17 in the Pac-12) in head coach Lindsay Gottlieb's second season, the Women of Troy tied with UCLA and Arizona for the fourth-best record in the conference. UCLA and Arizona both held tiebreakers over USC, causing it to become the sixth seed heading into the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.

USC then lost in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, much like their male counterparts.

Specifically, the Trojans fell 62-57 to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in overtime. 6'4" wing Rayah Marshall's 17 points and 13 rebounds weren't enough to get the job done.

Heading into the 2023-24 season, the team's starry recruiting class (ranked as the tenth best in the nation) includes the top high schooler in the nation, Sierra Canyon School alum Juju Watkins, a five-star combo guard. She will be joined by 5'6" Seattle guard Malia Samuels, a four-star recruit. The club is also adding junior transfer Dominique Onu out of UCLA, plus four grad student transfers.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
