Anybody that grew up playing sports knows what it’s like to go through trials and tribulations with the rest of your teammates and acknowledges that they all felt like giving up at one point or another. The best basketball programs ever built have gone through numerous periods like this but no season has ever been perfect from top to bottom and at some point, whether it be the first weeks of the year or the last, obstacles will come.

But ultimately, one must trust in the people that they are not only stepping onto the floor with but also those that are coaching and guiding them. When Isaiah Collier announced that he would be attending the University of Southern California for his freshman season of college, it was a huge milestone for the program. It showed that they had built a culture and family powerful enough to land one of the best point guards in the nation.

And Collier revealed in a recent interview that he just could not turn them down.

"Definitely the connection I built with all the coaches," said Collier. "It's like a family atmosphere. I definitely feel like it was the right choice for me based off of the school, academics first and then the bond I built with all the coaches, things like that. I just feel like it was the best decision."

Collier will be leading the way for the Trojans after being named the number one player in his graduating class of 2024. It will be exciting times when he suits up at Galen Center and he is loving his fit already!
