USC freshman combo guard Bronny James' journey to the college level took an unfortunate detour last week, when the 6'3" Sierra Canyon School alum collapsed on the Galen Center court due to a cardiac arrest Monday.

He was released from the hospital Tuesday night, and will continue to undergo further examination from doctors as they look to decipher a root cause for the incident.

Happily, it looks like James really, truly, fully on the mend, at least when it comes to his overall health.

Bronny's father, Los Angeles Lakers All-NBA small forward LeBron James, shared footage of his son playing piano:

Now, it appears Bronny is also well enough to hit the town.

Per TMZ Sports, Bronny joined LeBron and the rest of the family (including Bronny's mom Savannah and his siblings Bryce and Zhuri) in Santa Monica for dinner at Giorgio Baldi.

This represents an exciting development for the young prospect, who had been projected to be a mid-first round draft selection in 2024 prior to the heart issue.

It's unclear exactly how much Bronny's incident last week will impact his NCAA or NBA future, but obviously his health comes first. Stay tuned to this space for further details.
