Jazzy Davidson is a 6-1 left handed guard/forward out of Clackamas, Oregon. Davidson is rated as a five-star recruit and ranked as the No. 3 player in the class of 2025 per ESPN Recruiting. Davidson committed to USC over UConn, UCLA, TCU and Duke.

Davidson has quite the resume. She was a semifinalist for the 2023-24 Naismith Trophy Player of the Year as a junior at Clackamas High School, won Oregon High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year, and was named to the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Girl’s High School Player of the Year Preseason Watch list this season. She led Clackamas to a state title in 2023.

In addition to playing high school ball, she also recently suited up for team USA's U18 squad in the 2024 FIBA AmeriCup.

247sports director of women’s basketball scouting Brandon Clay had this to say about Davidson.

“Davidson is a smooth perimeter option capable of playing multiple roles on the hardwood,” Clay said. “A left-handed dominate prospect, Davidson has showcased her versatility in the toughest environments available at the prep level and still shined brightly.”

Davidson is an all around player that can do a little bit of everything.

“While Davidson may not exhibit an elite specialty at this juncture, she excels in various aspects of the game,” Clay said. “In the long term, her development will benefit from physical maturation to match her considerable length.”

USC Trojans coach Lindsay Gottlieb is excited to have Davidson on the Trojans next season. Gottlieb views her as the best incoming freshman in the country next season. Gottlieb spoke to the USC Athletics about Jazzy Davidson.

“Jazzy, in my opinion, is the jewel of this class,” Gottlieb said. “She is an elite player in every aspect. She can score, create, defend, a true modern, pro-style player,” Gottlieb said. “She has a work ethic competitiveness that will impact our program immediately…We got a special one and I couldn’t be more excited.”

Lindsay Gottlieb knows a thing or two about special players. Gottlieb recruited sensation JuJu Watkins and she turned into a superstar immediately in her freshman year last season for the Trojans. If Watkins stays for her junior year in 2025, she will be paired with the incoming freshman, Jazzy Davidson.

This year’s USC team is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation and is gunning for their first final four appearance since 1986.
