NCAA Tournament bracketology: USC men's basketball predicted as No. 10 seed

The Trojans are as high as a No. 8 seed in some projected brackets and as low as a No. 11 seed in others

By ending the regular season winning five of six games, USC continues to improve its NCAA Tournament credentials.

CBS Sports analyst Jerry Palm updated his projected tournament bracket on Monday. He lists USC as No. 10 seed and predicts that the Trojans will play No. 7 seed Creighton in a first round game in Denver.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi updated his predicted bracket on Sunday night. He also has USC as No. 10 seed, but forecasts that the team will play No. 7 seed Northwestern in Sacramento.

The website bracketmatrix.com inputs bracket predictions from analysts all across the country. Of the 68 brackets posted as of March 6, USC is listed in all 68 of the projections with an average seed of 9.88. The Trojans are as high as a No. 8 seed in some brackets and as low as a No. 11 seed in others.

USC will have one last chance to improve its seeding during this week's Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas. Thanks to finishing in third place in the conference during the regular season, USC earned a bye in the first round of the tournament. The Trojans will take on the winner of No. 6 Arizona State and No. 11 Oregon State on Thursday night at 8:30 pm in the tournament quarterfinals.

Following USC's 68-65 win over Arizona State in the team's regular season finale on Saturday, head coach Andy Enfield told reporters:

"Our team deserves to be in the [NCAA] Tournament."

With under a week to go before Selection Sunday, the bracketologists feel the same way.
