The Bronny James to USC rumors got a little louder on Saturday.

According to On3Sports.com's Joe Tipton, USC men's basketball signee Silas Demary Jr., a combo guard, has asked for a release from his National Letter of Intent.

With James playing the same position, Demary's request for a release further adds to the speculation that James will commit to the Trojans

Demary Jr. committed to USC in October of 2022 and signed in November. He's ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 57 player in his class, according to 247Sports.com.

Here's some of 247Sports.com's scouting report on Demary:

"Demary is a potential big lead guard in the making. He plays both on and off the ball right now, approaches the game with a scoring mentality, and does not yet create a ton of easy scoring opportunities for his teammates, but also is not especially turnover prone either. He is at his best scoring the ball from the mid-range and in. He is extremely shifty to the rim, able to maintain his balance while attacking low to the ground, and a crafty finisher with both hands."

Demary's release leaves USC with two signees in the 2023 class. Five-star point guard Isaiah Collier out of Wheeler High School (Marietta, Ga.) is the Trojans' top ranked recruit. He's 247Sports.com's No. 1 ranked prospect. Collier's high school teammate, four-star power forward Arrinten Page, is the Trojans' other signee.

USC's number of signees will likely increase though. There is a strong chance James picks the Trojans and makes his announcement this week.
