A Californian is considering sticking around for college next year, it appears.

Joe Tipton of On3 reports that four-star power forward Sebastian Rancik, a 6'9" senior prep prospect at San Juan Capistrano JSerra (and yes, that's how they spell it) Catholic School in Orange County, has your USC Trojans on his shortlist for NCAA programs.

The Colorado Buffaloes and Oklahoma Sooners are the other candidates still vying for Rancik's services at the next level, Tipton reveals.

The Slovakian native, who has yet to shed light on a projected decision date, has already visited the Trojans and Colorado, but is set to revisit the latter starting today. He's also cooking up an Oklahoma campus adventure, according to Tipton.

“Throughout the whole recruitment process, it was an honor for me to get to know coaches who have accomplished great achievements in their careers," Rancik told Tipton. "I’m really fortunate that the coaches of my top 3 aren’t only great professionals but individuals as well. It is a very important factor for me along with player development and the ability of the coach to push me to become the best player.”

“I really like USC because of its winning culture and the competitive environment. Their staff has been there for a long time and are accomplished. Me and the staff have built a close relationship over the past months. USC is a really good basketball school but also academically they are amongst the best in the country which is very important for me.”

Rancik is ranked as the No. 98 prospect among his rising high school class, at least via On3's preseason ranking system.
