USC Basketball: Andy Enfield Provides Update On Bronny James' Recovery
One of the biggest signings of the offseason was four-star guard Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, committing to play basketball at USC after a stellar run at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth. There was a ton of hype around the Trojans after that, and many were excited to see him play.
Unfortunately, Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest a few months ago and has yet to take the court. There is hope for him to return at some point, but they are taking things slowly for his return.
His health is priority number one, and he has to be fully cleared to return to game action. Bronny has been going through warmups with the team but isn’t ready to return just yet. Head coach Andy Enfield provided an update on his freshman guard, but there is still no timeline for his ultimate return.
Bronny has been one of the biggest talking points around the Trojans basketball team, and many want to see how he performs. He has a pathway to the NBA if he is able to be cleared to play, and teams could be watching him closely.
There has been a long line of thinking that the elder James may jump ship from the Lakers to go play with whatever team were to draft or sign his son. This could entice teams around the NBA to take a chance on Bronny and has been a massive narrative.
It remains to be seen if Bronny will return to the court, but it seems that it could happen down the line this season. Whenever it does happen, it will be one of the biggest spectacles in sports and will be special to witness.
