Your USC Trojans had a disappointing 82-67 loss to No. 12 Arizona on Wednesday night, but the bright side was they saw improvement from freshman guard Bronny James.

While playing thirty minutes, James put up 11 points, five rebounds and six assists, a much improved performance from his recent games.

USC coach Andy Enfield was complimentary of the Sierra Canyon School product, especially for how he stepped up with several of his teammates injured.

“Without Boogie and Isaiah, our two primary lead guards, Bronny has done a nice job of being the primary ball-handler when he’s in the game and defending at a pretty good level,” Andy Enfield said postgame. “I thought he started out very well tonight and we just need him to keep improving.”

Prior to this game, Bronny had suffered through some shooting issues. He failed to hit any shots over the last two games, and none from the field over the last three. Despite those struggles, coach Enfield wanted him to continue shooting and becoming more involved in the game. It paid off. This time around, Bronny hit five two-point shots and one three-pointer, resulting in his third game with double digit points this year.

Outside of the points he put up, James also set a career high for rebounds and assists in a single game. His thirty minutes was also the most he's been out on the court during a game this season, with his previous high at 25 minutes.

There's still plenty of room for improvement from the young freshman, but Bronny  James showed major steps and bounced back big time from his most recent games. Not only did he increase his stats and contributions to the team, but he did so against one of the best teams in NCAA basketball while playing a larger role because of injuries to his teammates.
