USC Basketball: Bronny James Expected to Play Sunday
USC star guard Bronny James is expected to make his collegiate debut this Sunday against the Long Beach State 49ers.
USC insider Fredo Cervantes reported on Thursday afternoon.
The return of Bronny is upon us, and it is a miracle. James Jr. suffered a cardiac arrest in July during practice on campus. Bronny was unconscious for an extended period, but luckily, the USC medical staff helped prevent anything severe from happening to the freshman guard.
It was rumored that Bronny would be focused on early retirement, but less than five months later, he will be back on the court with his teammates.
The 19-year-old's debut will be a highly anticipated one, with Lakers superstar LeBron James set to be in attendance. However, this is all just a cherry on top when you consider the alternative to what Bronny went through. The mere fact he is still alive, let alone able to play basketball, is a gift in and of itself.
We cannot wait to see him display his talents at the college level and wish him the best and good health the rest of the way.
