USC Basketball: Bronny James Gets Special Shout Out From NBA Legend
USC Trojans freshman guard Bronny James has yet to take the basketball court this season, but he is already one of the more popular athletes in college basketball. The son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the most closely watched players in sports today.
Unfortunately, he suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this year, and it has prevented him from playing just yet. But everyone is hopeful that he can return to the court sooner rather than later, once he is cleared.
James received a special shoutout from a former NBA legend on social media, which was awesome to see. Guard Allen Iverson posted about Bronny, saying he is a big fan of the young guard.
This likely means a lot to the young player, and he is probably itching to get back on the court with his teammates. He has been warming up with the Trojans over the last few games, but he hasn't been clear for game action yet.
If he is able to get back on the floor this season, it will be one of the more highly-anticipated events around sports. Everyone wants to see what he can do on the court, and it will be a spectacle for the Trojans program.
He does have some NBA hype around him as well if he can return, with many believing teams will consider drafting or signing him when he enters. But the most important part of it all is his overall health, and until it is safe for him to return, nothing else matters.
