Your USC men's basketball team has been waiting patiently to see if incoming freshman Bronny James is okay after news broke that he went into cardiac arrest during a team workout on Monday. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was fully treated and became stable again but now the question has been: What was the primary cause and how will this impact his basketball future?

Well we have at least received a positive update today as insider Shams Charania confirmed that Bronny has been released from the hospital and he is back home now.

"USC’s Bronny James has been discharged from hospital and is home resting after being treated for sudden cardiac arrest at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he arrived fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Statement:"

"Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics' medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest. He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting. Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support."

James was on the rise over the past couple of months and there was a lot of positive noise around his name as many were assessing his fit with Isaiah Collier, Boogie Ellis and the rest of the new roster.

Health comes above all else and the sports community has been showing nothing but support to the young guard. It's great to know that he is back home and well and we'll be on top of any other updates regarding his health!
