USC Basketball: Current Trojans Get Scrimmage Against Starry Batch Of Alums
Any athlete knows that there is just a special feeling about returning to your old stomping grounds to reconnect with old coaches and staff members and also check in how the squad is now doing even years after your departure. It's a given that games get underway between former players and current players and it officially became known as the alumni game.
USC has opted to carry on this tradition and recently, a number of former Trojans players touched down to practice to face off against their current roster. Their social media team shared a video of both squads dapping each other up after the game and we saw a lot of fan favorites from over the years.
Have a look for yourself!
The likes of Evan Mobley, Nick Young, Sam Clancy and more all decided to roll through and face off against the younger collegiate players. It's great to know that the program remains a family even after their playing days at the school are over.
The 2023-2024 USC men's team will have heavier expectations on them than they are used to. They just had their most successful and highest-rated recruiting class of all time and with all of the big names rocking red and gold this year, a win or two in the March Madness tournament will not cut it.
It's also the Trojans' final year as a part of the Pac-12 Conference so you already know that they will be looking to go out on a bang. This alumni game involves plenty of fun and former players trying to one-up the younger guys but it definitely serves as great preparation as well!
