Life is always better on the basketball court for a team when they have a point guard that can not only fulfill their duty of being a facilitator and playmaker but also can get their own baskets when needed. This is why everybody knew that the USC men's basketball program struck gold when they received word that 6'4 superstar guard Isaiah Collier would be suiting up for them in the 2023-2024 season.

Collier weighed the possibilities of attending other big name schools such as UCLA and Michigan but the vision that the Trojans had for the number one ranked 2023 high school player was too great for him to turn down. We have already been watching him dominate in his first slew of scrimmages overseas as USC faces off against international clubs in Greece.

Collier has been able to score in double digits during these matches while also racking up his assist numbers. He has thrived in transition and a number of fast break opportunities for his teammates were made easy with his outlet passes. Mega Mis is no easy squad to face off against but the Trojans have been able to do multiple times already and stand at 3-0 on their international tour thus far.

NBA draft expert Rafael Barlowe was quite pleased with what he saw from the rising star and believes that he is matching all of his hype.

"It looked easy for Isaiah Collier," said Barlowe. "Isaiah Collier is a 6'4, 205 pound guard, freshman from USC... He is arguably the best passer and playmaker in this class. He's a great live-dribbler, great passer, has great pace."

Barlowe broke down Collier's positives from the trip thus far perfectly and we cannot wait to see more of him
