USC Basketball: Fans Hate On Bronny James For Eye-Popping NIL Earnings
The USC Trojans landed Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, this offseason, and the buzz around the Trojans has been massive. They are looking to make some real noise this season, and they believe that they have a team to do so.
James did suffer a cardiac arrest attack months ago, so his status remains up in the air for the season. But there is hope that he can suit up at some point down the line.
It recently came out that Bronny had one of the highest-valued NIL deals in all of college sports. And it seems that some fans are upset about that fact.
“LeBron James' eldest son Bronny James tops college athletes with the highest-valued NIL deal at $5.9 million. NBA fans were shocked to learn that Bronny earns a lot already despite not playing a single college basketball game. He's just entering his freshman season with the USC Trojans.”

While Bronny James hasn’t played a game yet, he is going to benefit from who his dad is. It’s not a bad thing, and people shouldn’t be focusing on what he makes. He is a college student and if someone is willing to pay him the money, then it’s a great thing for him.
The way that the NIL deals have gone, isn’t surprising whatsoever. It’s an awesome thing for the athletes, as they get to benefit from their brand and image. Bronny James isn’t doing anything differently from anyone else but is getting criticized because he is the son of an NBA superstar.
We need to leave these student-athletes alone and be happy that they are finally getting some financial compensation. For far too long, the players were exploited by the NCAA, so thankfully that isn’t the case any longer.
