USC Trojans freshman guard Bronny James, a four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth and the son of Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James, enjoyed a fairly modest debut with his new club just this past week, albeit while playing under a significant minutes restriction.

James had suffered a cardiac arrest during a workout at the Galen Center over the summer, and had struggled to return earlier this season as he recuperated. With the 5-4 USC struggling, his lack of availability on the perimeter defensively seemed to be a major hindrance.

He looked excellent on that end of the floor this week, although he chipped in a pretty modest stat line of four points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.

The biggest moment was James' chase down block, still his dad's signature defensive move. Fans were incredibly impressed:
