USC Basketball: Freshman Isaiah Collier Unpacks Memorable First Game At Galen Center
Bronny James and Isaiah Collier will be teaming up this coming season as they both committed to the USC Trojans and will look to replicate success similar to USC's 2021 squad. James was able to shoot up rankings list all through his senior year as he took some of the biggest defensive challenges every time his team took the court and his athleticism is also still on the rise. Collier, on the other hand, has been widely regarded as the best point guard in his class for some time and finished off his high school career as the number-one ranked player in the nation.
And this star-studded duo actually faced off against each other near the beginning of the year in a huge game between Collier's own Wheeler High School and James' own Sierra Canyon High School that took place at the legendary Galen Center. These two will be taking the floor at this gym plenty of times soon but they got a sneak peak at what it would be like back then. James led his squad to a 66-55 win over Wheeler as he poured in 22 points but Collier told Slam Magazine that he loved the experience nonetheless and is ready for the environment soon.
“We didn’t get the outcome we wanted, but it was a great experience,” Collier says after his Wheeler (GA) High squad fell to SoCal power Sierra Canyon at USC’s Galen Center while 2 Chainz, Lil Dicky, Caleb Williams and other luminaries looked on. “Seeing all those celebrities courtside, the attention leading up to the game, it was new to me, and it was definitely intense. But it was great.”

Galen Center will definitely have many sell-out games this coming season and Lakers superstar LeBron James will be present plenty of times along with a number of other celebrities.
