There's a message that USC head coach Andy Enfield repeats constantly throughout the season, "It's you or him."

On Saturday night, the Trojans let "him" win in a 99-68 drudging at Stanford.

They got outhustled, outrebounded, and outplayed by the Stanford Cardinal. The frustration was visible on the players' faces and their coaches.

All the issues the Trojans had been trying to overcome reared their ugly heads at once and resulted in a 25-0 run for Stanford in the first half.

After the game, reporters asked Enfield about the disaster, and he took the blame. He said he didn't want to start pointing fingers and that it was on the coaches.

Boogie Ellis disagreed.

“They’re doing their best. I mean, it’s up – Coach Andy can draw up all the plays he wants, he can be the best coach, but if we don’t go out there and perform, that’s not on him.”

Ellis knows the team has put in the work, which is why the effort was disappointing. The team is loaded with talent and doesn't have an excuse to defend why it's in the last place in the Pac-12 and struggling to reach 10 wins.

The Trojans will try to pick up the pieces in practice this week before welcoming Utah to the Galen Center on Thursday, followed by Colorado on Saturday.
