One of the more compelling storylines from the USC Trojans' basketball season so far has been the excitement about freshman guard Bronny James. James hasn't played very much, nor very well, but being the son of NBA legend LeBron James, the intrigue is certainly there.

James missed the first part of the season while recovering from a cardiac arrest attack over the summer. Thankfully, his doctors cleared him for game action, but he is still getting himself back into playing form.

There has been a lot of talk about what he will do at the end of the season: either return to college for his sophomore year or head to the NBA. If he were to enter the NBA, many believe he would be drafted, if only to try and bring his father to whichever team lands him.

The elder James has spoken at length about the possibility of playing alongside his son so he could join Bronny. The Athletic's Shams Charania has reported that a few teams have scouted the idea of drafting Bronny if he were to enter the draft, including the Toronto Raptors.

If Bronny were to be drafted by Toronto, it could be good for his career. Due to his raw skillset, he needs to go somewhere that can help him develop. Toronto would be perfect to make this happen, and he could hopefully turn into a serviceable NBA player.

Whether the elder James would join him in Toronto is another story. But the key for Bronny is to make the decision about his future alone. He needs to be the one to make the choice, and only he knows if he is truly ready to join the professionals next year.
