USC Basketball: Isaiah Collier Already Impressing Pac-12 In First Month
Your USC Trojans men’s basketball team is off to a good start to the season, and they have been led by their incredible freshman guard Isaiah Collier.
He was named the Pac-12 Men’s Freshman of the Week for the second straight week.
With him winning the honor, the Trojans now have had 13 student-athletes be named Pac-12 Men's Freshman of the Week since the start of the honor being handed out. It's the most in the conference and shows the talent that has played at USC.
He averaged 23.5 points, three rebounds and two assists in the two games for the Trojans, helping them grab one of the two games. Collier has been awesome for the Trojans so far this season, and he has been their go-to guy.
His ability to score the ball has kept them alive in games, and he is proving why he was such a high recruit. For the season, Collier is averaging 21 points, three rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. He also is shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the three-point line.
Collier is also good on the defensive end of the floor as well, averaging 1.3 steals per game. His presence for this Trojans team hasn't gone unnoticed, and his impact is already being felt each time out.
The hope is that he can keep up the strong start to his career, and will use this time to continue growing his game. He has raw talent, and the Trojans are lucky to have him on their roster.
