USC Basketball: LeBron James Put On Show For Lakers With Bronny In Attendance
The Los Angeles Lakers got a massive win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday night with star LeBron James putting in a classic performance. But the incredible game by James may have been put together due to who was in attendance.
His son Bronny James, a USC freshman combo guard, was watching the game live, and James seemingly wanted to show out. James is an entertainer at his core, and he wanted to do right by his son.
"At some point, James said he noticed his son Bronny was seated courtside."
Per Dylan Hernandez of The Los Angeles Times
The King knew that with his son in the building, he had to put on a show. James dropped 37 points to help lead the Lakers to a big victory, and Bronny got it see it all.
“I was like, ‘OK, I’ve got to turn it up a little bit even more with him in the building,’” James said.
Per Dylan Hernandez of The Los Angeles Times
If James is going to play like this whenever Bronny is in the building, maybe he should go to more games. It felt like watching the clock turn backward on his career, and fans got to witness a masterpiece game by the legend himself.
Hopefully, we get to see Bronny putting on a show himself at some point this season. He, unfortunately, suffered a cardiac arrest during the offseason that has forced him to sit out for now, but there is hope that he can make a full return soon.
"Earlier that same day, Bronny participated in pregame warmups with the USC basketball team for the first time this season. Bronny suffered cardiac arrest while working out with the Trojans over the summer and still hasn’t made his college debut"
Per Dylan Hernandez of The Los Angeles Times
If Bronny is ever cleared to go (and, as Hernandez notes, he did partake in his first-ever pregame warmups with the Trojans on Sunday), his dad will surely be in the stands rooting him on at the Galen Center. And that will be an experience to watch!
