The general consensus around newest USC Trojans point guard Isaiah Collier is that he will thrive in Galen Center this coming season and he will be able to make his way to the NBA Draft after his freshman season. He possesses the ability to impact the game on both ends at the point guard position and make all of his teammates better in the process.

Returning USC guard Boogie Ellis has already spoken on how he believes that playing alongside Collier this year will make him a better player and based on what he's seen from him so far in the gym, he loves his work ethic.

But outside of just proving to the college world that he can compete, Collier should be looking to establish himself as the best guard in the nation. He ended off his high school career as the number one ranked player in his graduating class of 2023 on ESPN and number two on 247 Sports but looking at Bleacher Report's newest 2024 mock draft, there are multiple elite guards ahead of him in the lottery.

Collier is currently poised to go number six with the likes of G-League Ignite's Ron Holland & Matas Buzelis, Kentucky's D.J. Wagner and Kansas' Elmarko Jackson all slated to be picked before him.

Experts believe Collier must improve his shooting to raise his stock.

"His shot is improving, but he doesn't get much elevation on his jumper, and his free-throw numbers have always been shaky. Shooting will be an important swing skill that factors into his draft stock and upside. In the meantime, he'll make his mark on games by putting pressure on the rim and facilitating."
