Per Luca Evans of The Orange County Register, USC Trojans head coach Andy Enfield revealed that the club's starting center, Joshua Morgan, lost 15 pounds while battling a major virus earlier this month. He missed two contests before he was able to rejoin the Cardinal and Gold.

Upon returning to the lineup in an eventual loss to the Arizona Wildcats on January 17th (USC has lost four games in a row, two with Morgan back), Morgan had not at that point enjoyed a full meal for two weeks, per Enfield. He remains below his ideal playing weight, as of this writing.

Across his 17 healthy games for the 8-11 Trojans, the 6'11" redshirt senior big man out of Sacramento is averaging six points on 68.4% shooting from the field (mostly within the paint), 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.2 dimes a night.
